The article I read was about hate driven imagery, It gives five examples of the imagery which is mainly dull colouring or photography. It says the in World War 1 some US artists invented images that deplicted German troops as even more venal than those later in World War 2.
The article got several quotes from different designers and artists such as Dan Walsh who said that "hate imagery is often most graphically charged because there is no operational code of conduct in places between the combatants- no taboos are recognised.
